Object Impact analyses
What is the impact of changing Universe objects, and how do you test a change like that? Wouldn’t it be awesome if you knew which documents were affected?
Select the objects you intend to change and see how many Documents use them. It’s a big help in scoping the time needed for testing your project!
Change Universe connection during deployment
Deployment should be simple. When PlatformManager deploys a universe you can select the connection you want to use in the destination CMS. Same for Keywords and Categories. Easy and reliable!
Search the entire metadata
What if you change a database column? What’s the impact? Use the global search function to find out. Or, look for an Object or Class name – whatever you need. When you have SAP/BO and Qlik together you can even search the metadata across all platforms!
Keep dependent files together
Want to publish Universe and Document changes together? Use our Release Management capability. Add Universes and Documents to the release and publish this as a whole. If, after publishing, issues appear in individual items, restore to the previous release version.
This helps you to keep your Production environment consistent.
Which universes are used?
What if you publish a document to production while the latest universe version is not yet in Production? Prevent this from happening and check the relations in PlatformManager first, before publishing the document! Dependencies can be checked from Universe to Document and vice versa.
